Mission Hope
Youth & Education
To nourish the souls, minds, and bodies of some of the world's most vulnerable youth by providing care, encouragement, and quality education.
Kenya
Hearing Impaired Students
Located in Tawa, Kenya, our commitment to Kakuswi School for the Deaf provides 87 students who are hearing impaired, with educational and vocational skills that allow them the opportunity to build successful and independent lives after schooling.
Elementary Schools
Without proper nutrition, students cannot learn effectively. This is a staggering issue in the slums of Kenya. We are helping to facilitate a feeding program for 120 students that typically provides the only meal most of the children will get for the day. Three staff salaries have also been provided at a local elementary school to aid teacher retention in situations where they often work without pay.
High School Students
Many young women in Kenya are unable to attend secondary schooling due to economic circumstance, their family situation, or because of social constraints. By providing important resources such as tuition and school supplies, we are empowering 167 young women around the country with sponsorships that provide an education to transform their future.
Light Up HopeTransitional Program
The gap between high school and college can be daunting, especially when there is a lack of resources. Upon graduation, we are sponsoring the entire class of high school girls participating in the Mission Hope program, ensuring that they are given the life skills and education they need to succeed into adulthood.
Uganda
Infrastructure
As capital projects such as school buildings and dormitories can be essential to the success of students, new facilities have also been invested in, providing safe and positive learning environments for the students in Kenya. Currently, Seeds of Change is also helping to construct a secondary school that will serve a rural area of Uganda where high school is often unavailable or difficult to access.
